Reattachment of Amputated Both External Ears



Abstract
Successful reattachment of the partial or total amputated external ear are very difficult. successful reimplantation of total amputations by primary suture technique are few, and this approach has not been encouraged until today. there has been 19 reported survivals of completely amputated tissue with in the last 470 vears8¢¥. three years ago, Potsic reported reimplantation of an amputated pinna10). he used aggressive medical therapy with antibiotics, anticoagulants, vasodilated drugs in conjunction with primary suture technique. the vasodilators are dangerous to the children.11)
Authors have recently experienced a case of successful reimplantation of external ears. The ears were amputated in the conchal floor. we did simple primary suture technique without using vasodilators. At now there were no cosmetic deformites.
